According to eyewitnesses, the biker was riding at a high speed and could not stop in time when the student, Rahul of Class 9, tried to cross the road. Rahul fell down and suffered injuries on his leg and arm. Teachers and students nearby immediately rushed to help him.

A serious bus accident occurred yesterday evening on the Vijayawada–Guntur highway due to heavy rain and poor visibility. The private bus, carrying about 40 passengers, was travelling from Vijayawada to Guntur when it skidded off the road and hit a tree near Namburu village.
According to eyewitnesses, the road was slippery because of continuous rain, and the driver could not control the vehicle. Several passengers received minor injuries, while five people were seriously hurt. Local people quickly informed the police and ambulance services.
The Highway Police and 108 emergency teams reached the spot within minutes. The injured were taken to Guntur Government Hospital, where doctors said all were out of danger.
