Grade 6 - Project 8
1. Animal Behaviour Project
Write short notes on:
-
Why mongoose fights snakes
-
Why birds should not interfere
1. Why does the mongoose fight snakes?
The mongoose is a natural enemy of snakes.
It is very fast and clever.
The mongoose has thick fur that protects it from snake bites.
It attacks the snake to protect itself and its area.
The mongoose knows how to avoid the snake’s poison.
2. Why should birds not interfere?
The fight was between the mongoose and the cobra only.
The birds were not strong enough to fight the snake.
When they interfered, they got hurt.
One bird was badly injured because of interference.
This teaches us that we should not interfere in dangerous fights.
Message:
Animals act by instinct. We should observe nature from a safe distance and not disturb it.
2. Message of the Story
-
What does the story teach us about:
- Nature
- Bravery
- Interfering in others’ fights
Message of the Story
The story teaches us many important lessons about nature, bravery, and behaviour.
Nature follows its own laws, and every animal has a special role to play. The mongoose and the cobra acted according to their natural instincts.
The mongoose shows true bravery. It was smaller than the cobra, but it was alert, fast, and confident. It used its intelligence instead of fear.
The story also teaches us an important lesson about interfering in others’ fights. The birds tried to take part in the fight even though it was not their battle.
Because of this, one bird was badly hurt. This shows that unnecessary interference can be dangerous.
Overall, the story tells us to respect nature, be brave in the right way, and avoid getting involved in harmful situations.
