1. If I Could Fly... ( Page No. 8)

If I could fly, I would soar high above the clouds and travel the world. I would see the giant mountains, the blue oceans, and the tiny houses below. Along with me, I would take my camera to capture every amazing view. I would try to race the airplanes and the fast birds for fun. First, I would zip straight to Paris to see the Eiffel Tower from the top. Next, I would glide silently over the Amazon rainforest to watch the colorful birds and animals. I would also fly home quickly to deliver a warm hug to my family. It would be wonderful to feel the cool wind rush against my face. The freedom of movement would be an incredible, joyous feeling. At the end of the day, I would feel tired, happy, and ready to dream about flying forever.

2. A Day Without Darkness (Page No. 15)

10 December 2025

Wednesday

9.30 pm

Dear Diary,

The sun has been shining for what feels like a week now; there is simply no night to rest. I woke up feeling slightly strange because the endless light never lets my body truly shut down. The cities are always bustling, even when my watch says it is midnight, making time feel endless and confusing. I can see the plants growing incredibly fast, almost like a time-lapse video in the garden. However, some nocturnal animals are clearly struggling; the owls and bats look completely lost without a dark sky. I realized today that I miss the stars and the simple quiet that comes with evening. Life is a constant rush under this permanent, bright illumination. I wonder if we can even appreciate the gift of light when there is never any darkness to compare it to. We are learning to change our routines, using heavy curtains to trick our minds into feeling rested. Though the world is constantly visible, I sometimes feel blind to the beauty of true rest and shadow.

3. A Day in Their Shoes (Page No. 24)

10 December, 2025

I began my work very early today, cleaning the rooms before school started. I quickly took out many trash cans and picked up food and drinks students left behind yesterday. Later in the morning, new spills appeared, like coffee spilled by a fast-walking teacher. It is hard when students run over the floors right after I finish cleaning them, bringing in dirt. The last part of my day, the evening, is often the longest. I clean the messy cafeteria and collect things people forgot. I do the same jobs over and over, and sometimes the students and teachers do not even notice my effort. I am truly tired after I finish cleaning and washing the whole college. But, seeing the college clean and bright at night makes me feel good inside. The best thing that keeps me going is a simple "thank you" from a student; that makes my whole day. My job matters because a clean school helps everyone learn better and stay healthy.

4. The Lost Animal ( Page No. 24)

The Blind Beggar and His Loyal Companion

In the busy market, lived an old man who was a blind beggar. He held a long wooden stick to tap the path. His best friend was a brown street dog named Raja. Raja was the man’s faithful companion and his eyes. This simple dog showed total loyalty to his master.

The man kept Raja close with a short rope. Some people only felt sympathy for the blind man, but Raja was happy just to be near him, showing great obedience. Sadly, the man sometimes showed abuse when he was angry or hungry, hitting the ground near Raja with his stick.

One day, the man forgot the rope. Raja tasted freedom for a moment and ran a few steps. But he quickly came back. He nudged the stick into his master's hand. Raja chose his old friend over freedom. He knew his master needed him more than anything. Their bond was strong, built on need and love.

5. Letter to the Future (Page No. 32)

December 11, 2025

Dear Future Generations,

When we look around today, we see serious environmental problems. First, the air and water are dirty from too much pollution, and we are seeing too much deforestation. The planet is also getting hotter because of climate change, which is causing the melting ice caps to shrink.

But we must never lose hope, because your future actions have great power to change things. Then, I hope that by your time, you will live in a cleaner, healthier world with more animals and trees.

Later, please remember to reduce waste by using less and recycling everything you can. Always try to conserve water in your homes and schools. You should also support sustainable practices that help the Earth stay well, not harm it.

Finally, please stay strong in your commitment, and keep fighting to protect the Earth for everyone.

Sincerely,

A Person from the Past

6. Invincible Hope (Page No.  38)

Dear friend, I know things are hard, but you are strong. I understand that failing an exam can make you feel sad and lost, but this is not the end. Everyone faces difficult days in life. Remember when you worked very hard for your project and did a great job? That same effort and courage are still inside you. One exam cannot decide your future.

Please do not give up. Take one step at a time. First, relax your mind and take a break. Then think calmly about what you can do next. I am always here to help you, and you do not have to face this alone. You can ask for support, and together we will find a way to improve.

Believe that better days will come. You can learn from this mistake and become even stronger. Keep trying, keep moving forward, and keep your hope alive. I believe in you!

7. An Apology Letter to Yourself (Page No.  48)

Dear Me,

I'm writing this to apologize for letting myself down this past semester. I regret that I did not study properly for the big exam. I feel I did not give my best effort because I spent too much time playing games instead of focusing on books. I was lazy, and that choice has hurt my confidence now.

But I promise that things will change from today. I will make a simple plan to study every evening for two hours, starting after dinner. I will start setting short-term goals for myself so the work does not feel too big. I will ask my teachers for help with the difficult subjects that I do not understand. I will try harder to be more disciplined with my time. Next time, I will not let a small distraction stop me. I want to make myself proud, and I know I can do it. I forgive you, and we will work together to make things right.

8. The Magic Door ( Page No. 48)

I accidentally found a small, magical door hidden behind an old cupboard in my grandparents' house. It was painted bright purple. I felt nervous, but I turned the handle. As the door opened, I saw a world with floating islands and trees that glowed blue. The land was bright yellow, like sunshine on the ground.

I could hear soft music that sounded like birds singing, mixed with the sound of a gentle wind chime. It was a wonderful, peaceful noise. But then I saw a group of colorful, feathery creatures facing a problem. A huge, black shadow was slowly covering their light-giving trees, making the world dull. I wanted to help them quickly! I used my own flashlight to shine light on the shadow. The shadow hated the light and ran away! The creatures cheered for me. This adventure changed me because I learned that even a small action can save a whole world.

9. Interviewing Inspiration ( Page No.  59)

Interviewer (Me): Thank you for meeting me, Ms. Kalpana. What first made you want to become a scientist?

Kalpana: I was inspired to follow my passion by the night sky. The stars made me feel small but important.

Interviewer (Me): Who helped you most on your journey?

Kalpana: My mother supported me the most. She always told me to ask "Why?"

Interviewer (Me): Were there tough moments? How did you fix them?

Kalpana: Yes, there were many times I wanted to quit. I overcame them by working harder and not stopping.

Interviewer (Me): What is the best advice you got?

Kalpana: The best advice was to never fear mistakes. Mistakes teach us the fastest.

Interviewer (Me): What advice would you give to someone still searching for their passion?

Kalpana: Try many things, even if they seem boring. Your true passion will find you when you are busy exploring.

10. Refugee's Journal Entry (Page No.  65)

13 December, 2025

Today, I woke up in a crowded shelter, lying on a hard floor. We have very little food today, and I feel so weak and dizzy from hunger. I can't stop thinking about my home—about the small garden and the smell of my mother's cooking. I miss those simple things so much.

In this refugee camp, we are all afraid about where we will go next and if we will ever be safe. Every day is a struggle to find clean water and stay dry when it rains. I see sadness in the eyes of the other children. But, I try to stay hopeful. I hope that one day we will find a new, safe place where we can build a simple life again. I must be strong for my family and keep believing in a better tomorrow. We must keep moving forward.

11. One Day With Tomorrow's Technology (Page No.  78)

I woke up today surrounded by incredible new technology. My pet robot cleaned my room as soon as I got out of bed. I put on a shirt that changed color to match my happy mood. My fridge prepared the best breakfast food for me itself.

I grabbed my flying backpack to go to college very fast. In class, a special pen took notes all by itself. When I came home, an A.I. robot was ready to explain my tricky homework in simple steps. I finished my day sleeping on a pillow that tracked all my dreams. Life with these inventions is exciting and much easier!
